Deloitte has issued a response after the Brain Cipher ransomware group claimed to have stolen over 1Tb of information belonging to the company.

The hackers threatened to make the stolen files available in five days unless a ransom is paid.

Deloitte claims the allegations relate to a single client’s system which sits outside of the Deloitte network.

Adobe, Atlassian and Microsoft are all in the process of issuing urgent patches for exploitations and vulnerabilities.

Microsoft rolled out patches for more than 70 documented security defects in the Windows Common Log File System, meanwhile Atlassian and Splunk announced patches for more than two dozen high-severity flaws.

Adobe however wins the prize for the most patches across their suite of products with a winning 160 vulnerabilities!

Some of these flaws can be exploited to bypass security features – if huge companies like these with all their resources can be attacked, then we are all vulnerable.
