Sidechain Security has launched Timberline, a private AI workspace for healthcare knowledge work.
Timberline grew out of conversations through late 2025 and early 2026 with healthcare processors, third-party administrators, consultancies, and health plans. The recurring concern was the same: teams wanted modern AI capabilities, but security policy and contractual restrictions made public AI services off limits for the work that mattered.
Timberline is designed around the questions security teams ask first. Each customer operates in a single-tenant, logically isolated environment. Inference is private: production protected health information is not sent to a public third-party model API. Customer information is never used to train models. Sign-in is through the organization’s SSO or password with authenticator-app MFA. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with dedicated per-customer keys, and a Business Associate Agreement is available.
Healthcare teams use Timberline for claims and coverage review, prior authorization research, pharmacy and formulary questions, policy and compliance interpretation, and research and analysis, with an always-current reference library covering CMS, NCD, LCD, and eCFR Title 42 material alongside their own documents.
